Feline Nurse BappSc-VTM
Shana has been immersed in the veterinary industry since 2004, following her graduation from the UQ Veterinary Technology program.
Initially working locally in Brisbane, she soon succumbed to her passion for travel, moving to the UK for 3.5 years.
After returning to Australia, she explored life in Sydney before settling back in her hometown of Brisbane in 2011, where she began her tenure at Veterinary Specialist Services.
Following a brief hiatus from clinical work, Shana rejoined the field at the University of Queensland Gatton Veterinary Medical Centre and Animal Emergency Services. In 2014, she returned to Veterinary Specialist Services, where she has gained extensive experience in ophthalmology, internal medicine, surgery and emergency medicine.
When she learned about the potential for a cat-only clinic, Shana was immediately excited.
Although it took an additional 2.5 years of patient waiting, she is now living her dream, working at a clinic dedicated solely to feline care and thoroughly enjoying every moment of it.
Outside of work, Shana is an indentured servant to her two demanding Tabbies, Ajax and Ziva. She is also passionate about travelling, live music, good food, dark beer, and seeking enriching life experiences.
