Shana Hamanne

Shana has been working in the veterinary industry since 2004 after graduating from the UQ Veterinary Technology program. She worked locally in Brisbane for a time until the travel bug hit. With a passion for travel, she moved to the UK for 3.5 years before returning to Australia. On her return she tried her hand at life in Sydney but decided to return to her hometown of Brisbane in 2011 where she first started working for Veterinary Specialist Services. After a short break from clinical work, Shana returned to emergency work at the University of Queensland Gatton Veterinary Medical Centre and Animal Emergency Servies and in 2014 joined Veterinary Specialist Services once again. She has worn many hats in the clinic including ophthalmology, internal medicine, surgery and emergency medicine.

However, once she heard that there was a possibility of a cat only clinic, she was all in. It took a further 2.5 years of waiting patiently but now here she is working in her dream job of a cat only clinic and loving it!

She is an indentured servant to 2 demanding Tabbies called Ajax and Ziva. She is passionate about traveling, live music good food, dark beer and life experiences.
