Systemic hypertension is a persistent increase in blood pressure (BP) that generally occurs with underlying disease in cats. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and hyperthyroidism are most commonly associated with hypertension with 20-65% of cats
with CKD and 9-23% of hyperthyroid cats reported hypertensive.
