Specialist Dermatology
Johann Boone is a board-certified veterinary dermatologist and a registered Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology. She completed her residency at the Royal Veterinary College in England and holds a Master of Veterinary Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD) and a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS).
Dr Boone graduated from Murdoch University in 2004 and gained broad clinical experience across Australia, New Zealand and the UK for the first 13 years of her veterinary career before commencing her dermatology training in 2017.
She returned to Queensland in 2021 and has since provided specialist dermatology services across southeast Queensland and beyond, including consulting in regional areas. Her clinical interests include immune-mediated skin diseases and the management of complex ear conditions.
Throughout her career, she has contributed to published research in dermatopathology, presented at national and international veterinary conferences, and supported the professional development of veterinary students and colleagues through mentorship, training program support and continued education initiatives.
