Meet Cassie Hodda

Cassie’s lifelong passion for animals began early as she spent her childhood rescuing strays and nurturing an innate curiosity about their care.
Her journey into veterinary medicine was a natural progression, leading her to study at the University of Queensland Gatton, where she graduated in 2012.
Her hands-on experience includes a diverse range of roles in shelters, rescues and clinics, with a special focus on reproductive health.
Passionate about feline care
Cassie’s interest in feline medicine and behaviour deepened during her time in clinical practice, where she found her calling in neonatal care and feline health.
Her dedication to advocating for the best care practices for cats brought her to Cat Specialist Services (CSS), where Cassie combines her expertise with a love for teaching. She also completed her TAE qualification, enabling her to mentor others who share this passion.
Life outside the clinic
When not caring for the beautiful cats at the hospital, Cassie tends to her own menagerie of rescue kitties at home with her recently grown little family.
Cassie enjoys spending time with her family, trying new foods, exploring new places, reading good books and baking.
She might also have a bit of an obsession with dinosaurs.
