Dr Priska Elford

Meet Dr Priska Elford

Emergency Veterinarian in Feline Internal Medicine
BVSc (Hons), MANZCVS (Medicine of Cats)

Priska graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland in 2003. She began her career in small animal general practice in Rockhampton before returning to Brisbane to complete a rotating internship in medicine, surgery and emergency and critical care.

Although Priska enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, she has always had a special passion for feline medicine. In 2008, she attained Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Medicine of Cats, recognising her knowledge and commitment to feline healthcare.

Priska continues to work part-time in general practice and was delighted to join the CSS team, where she can focus exclusively on providing dedicated care for cats.

Outside of work, Priska enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, along with their much-loved pets: three cats—Pom Pom, Parsnip and Tortellini—and their dog, Poppy. When she’s not caring for feline patients, you’ll often find her camping, hiking or mountain biking.
